JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and implementing
tasks involved in various environmental projects. The position provides support to Project
Managers in operations activities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Project Coordinator will have the following responsibilities.
• Assist in field work to gather data in support of environmental projects.
• Coordinate field technicians to ensure project completion.
• Monitor project deliverables and timelines, and notify the Project Manager when issues arise,
and take corrective actions, as needed.
• Collaborate with external vendors to implement laboratory analysis, testing, or sampling.
• Organize and facilitate project-related meetings.
• Communicate project findings and activities to clients, colleagues, and other parties involved.
• Develop reports and other deliverables as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Assist the Project Manager in tracking budget expenses. May assist with budget analysis.
• Maintain communications with internal colleagues and external customers as necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Periodic travel required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• This position requires a BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or
Geology.
• Prior experience in environmental health and safety preferred.
Skills and Training
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Solid organizational, and team building skills.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office software (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and
Outlook).
• Ability to use all basic office equipment.
• Project management skills preferred.
